Tea at Downton

Are an elegant pair of fingering weight socks inspired by the beautiful patisserie enjoyed at an afternoon tea. The design  features contrast heels and toes and a stitch pattern of stunning lace with textured embellishments. 

‘Tea at Downton’ also includes the first chapter of a brand new story focused on  ‘Nellie Wright’ and her dressmakers shop in Ripon. ‘Tea at Downton’ are the first pattern in a series which will be inspired by the movie and TV show ‘Downton Abbey’.

YARN

You will need one skein of fingering weight yarn  approx 400 yards plus 90 yards of contrast

NEEDLES

2.25mm (US size 1) 32 inch (80cm) circular knitting needle for magic loop – You can use double pointed needles if that is your preferred method – 1 tapestry needle – 2 stitch markers

SIZE

Small – 8 inch (20cm) foot circumference

Medium – 9 inch (23cm) foot circumference 

Large- 10/11 inch (25/27 cm) foot circumference
