School House Socks

The School House Socks were inspired by our daughters final year at school. Kay wanted to design something pretty and comfortable that reminded her of the socks ‘she’ used to wear at school. 

The design features a gorgeous lace pattern around the top of the leg, with a little hint of it returning before the toe.

YARN

One skein of fingering weight yarn, approximately 400 metres (436 yards)

NEEDLES

2.25mm (US size 1) 32 inch (80cm) circular knitting needle – 2 stitch markers – tapestry needle

SIZE

Small – 8 inch (20cm) foot circumference 

Medium – 9 inch (23cm) foot circumference 

Large – 10/11 inch (25/27) foot circumference 

DIFFICULTY

This is an intermediate pattern suitable for knitters with some experience
