Miss Gelato Giraffe
One of our daughters first ever soft toy’s was a giraffe named Goffy. This giraffe continues to have so many adventures and he spends every night tucked up in bed. So Kay decided she wanted to create a knitted member of Goffy’s herd and here she is, Miss Gelato Giraffe!
Kay loved every moment of creating Miss Gelato and the moment she knew she had succeed was when she noticed Miss Gelato had joined Goffy tucked up in bed.
MATERIALS
Worsted Weight Yarn 100 yards main colour, 20 yards contrast – fingering/4ply weight yarn 50 yards approx – toy stuffing – 2 black safety eyes 9mm – 3 small buttons – scraps of black or brown 4 ply yarn
NEEDLES
3.25mm (U.S. size 3) 32 inch (80cm) circular knitting needle – 3mm (U.S. size 2.5) circular needles – 3.25mm double pointed needles – tapestry needle – strong black/white thread – beading needle – 4 stitch markers
