Messalina

Is a cosy unisex shawl inspired by the magnificent Hadrian’s Wall in the North of England. In 122 AD the Roman Emperor Hadrian marked the border between the Roman and Barbarian world with a huge wall. Today it still stands proud in the most beautiful countryside.

The central cable within the design represents Hadrian’s Wall with the twisted stitch edging signifying the Roman Legionaries who used to man the wall. The pattern also includes a cowl version.
