Lattice Topped Socks

The Lattice Topped Socks are a fingering weight sock pattern that were inspired by the joys of a fresh apple pie. The lace pattern around the leg of the socks signifies a gorgeous lattice topped crust. The green contrast colour hints at the delicious apple filling peaking through the pastry.

The design features lace, contrast yarn stripes, Kay’s ‘Umbrella Toe’ and for the first time in fingering weight yarn, the “butterfly Heel’.

Fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colours. We would recommend 400m/436 yards or 100g of your main colour and 200m/218 yards or 50g of your contrast colour.

NEEDLES

2.25mm (US size 1) needles for knitting in the round – tapestry needle

SIZE

Small – 8 inch (20cm) foot circumference 

Medium – 9 inch (23cm) foot circumference 

Large – 10/11 inch (25/27) foot circumference
