duchess of Devonshire
Is a stunning shawl, featuring garter and eyelet sections with a lace edging. The shawl is worked from the top down, with increases on every row and the edging is knitted on sideways. This means you are casting off as you knit, which means there’s no long bind off row!
The pattern comes from Kay’s love of Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. The shawl represents the Cascade water feature which sits in the middle of the gardens.
