Whispers in the Walls

Are a gorgeous pair of socks featuring a cable and lace design.  They were inspired by the second book in the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.  

The cable’s on the socks are achieved without the use of a cable needle and they represent the snake which appears at the end of the book. The lace motif creates a beautiful lightning streak straight down the socks and the detailing on the back represents the sword which is used by our hero to defeat the snake.

YARN

One skein of fingering weight yarn, approximately 400 yards

NEEDLES

2.25mm (US size 1)  32 inch (80 cm) circular knitting needle for knitting the magic loop method (you can use double pointed needles if that is your preferred method). 

Tapestry needle and 2 stitch markers.

SIZE

Small – 8 inch (20cm) foot circumference.

Medium – 9 inch (23cm) foot circumference.

Large – 10/11 inch (25/27 cm) foot circumference.
