Stitch In Time

The inspiration for this blanket came from Kay’s love of knitting mitred squares. These projects are wonderful, but cumbersome. So I created the Stitch In Time blanket which is made up of twelve blocks, each one representing a month of the year.

The beauty of this project is each block is knit separately, creating bite size pieces which fit easily into a small project bag.

500g of fingering weight yarn scraps (each square uses approx 4g – 150g fingering weight yarn for the borders

2.5mm (US size 1.5) 32 inch (80cm) circular knitting needle – 2 x 2.5mm double pointed needles – tapestry needle

One size but easily adjustable

36 inches (92cm) x 27 inches (69cm)

This is an intermediate pattern suitable for knitters with some experience – video tutorials are included
