Rhapsody Socks

The Rhapsody Socks were inspired by a wonderfully musical trip to the cinema to see ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. Kay has created a design with a strong rhythm that reminds her of the fabulous music created by the band ‘Queen’. 

The wide ribbing reflects the four band members and the stitch pattern makes Kay think of a piano keyboard, especially when knit in self striping yarn.

YARN

You will need one skein of fingering weight yarn 400 yards approx, plus an extra 40 yards contrast colour for your heels

NEEDLES

2.25mm (US size 1) 32 inch (80cm) circular knitting needle for magic loop – You can use double pointed needles if that is your preferred method – Adjust your needle size to obtain gauge if necessary

SIZE

Three sizes, small, medium and large

DIFFICULTY

This is a pattern suitable for all levels of knitter
