Nutkin
Nutkin is the second pattern released in Kay’s Miss Potter 2 Collection. The socks feature twisted stitches, columns of lace, a garter edged slip stitch heel and Kay’s ‘Cottage Toe’.
Nutkin is inspired by the adventurous Squirrel Nutkin, created by Beatrix Potter. Squirrel Nutkins adventures take place on ‘Old Brown’s Island’. The twisted stitches on the front and the back of the socks represent the trees which grow on the island with the columns of lace depicting the acorns which Nutkin loves to gather.
