Mrs Tiggy

Mrs Tiggy is the first pattern released in Kay’s Miss Potter 2 Collection. The socks feature a relaxing lace pattern, Kay’s favourite heel flap and gusset and Kay’s ‘Umbrella Toe’.

Mrs Tiggy is inspired by the much loved hedgehog, created by Beatrix Potter, Mrs Tiggy-winkle. The lace motif used within this design represents the lace edged pocket-handkins (handkerchiefs to us) often found in a huge pile in front of Mrs Tiggy-winkles fire.

YARN

You will need one skein of fingering weight yarn plus contrast yarn for heels and toes

NEEDLES

2.25mm (US size 1) 32 inch (80cm) circular knitting needle for magic loop – You can use double pointed needles if that is your preferred method – 1 tapestry needle

SIZE

Small – 8 inch foot circumference

Medium – 9 inch foot circumference 

Large- 10/11 inch foot circumference
