Burrow Blanket

This gorgeously squishy blanket was inspired by Kay’s ‘Burrow Wrap’ design from 2019 ‘Swish & Flick Collective’. The fabric is created using three strands of fingering weight yarn held treble and because of this it feels like the blanket knits up in a flash!

YARN

Fingering weight yarn with approximately 600g needed for the baby blanket and approximately 1050g for the afghan blanket

NEEDLES

6mm (U.S. size 10) 32 inch (80cm) and 40 inch (100cm) circular knitting needle – 5mm (U.S. size 8) double pointed needles – 5mm crochet hook (5mm to 6mm is fine) – tapestry needle

Baby blanket : 26 inches (66cm) x 36 inches (91cm)

Afghan : 38 inches (96cm) x 52 inches (132cm)

DIFFICULTY

This is an intermediate pattern suitable for knitters with some experience – video tutorials are included in the pattern for any specific techniques used
