Best Friends

The ‘Best Friends’ socks are the third pattern in our Platinum Collection for 2019, available free to Platinum Bakery Bear Patrons. These cosy socks feature a sumptuous cable and lace design representing the close bond between best friends. 

They were inspired by our daughters love for her precious giraffe ‘Goffy’. Since the day she was given ‘Goffy’ they are always side by side, just like the eyelets in the pattern. The cables twist together, representing the bond between girl and giraffe.

YARN

Three colours of heavy fingering weight or sport weight yarn. The pattern was knit in ‘Scheepjes Metropolis’ which comes in 50g (200m) skeins. The size medium used 20g of each of the three colours needed.

NEEDLES

2.75mm (US size 2) 32 inch (80cm) circular knitting needle for magic loop – You can use double pointed needles if that is your preferred method.

Small 48 stitches – Medium 56 stitches – Large 64 stitches
